    Replacing the touch pad on the G73?

    Ok I've seriously had it up to here with this touch pad. It's a god awful piece of junk that never does what I want it to do...is there any way to replace it with a better one?

    Have you tried to sticky tape removal yet? I still recommend that as my most promising fix and I have yet in 8 months since doing it had a problem. Software related or not it was a hardware issue for me.

    Dissassemble and remove the yellow/grey sticky tape I have posted what to remove and there are pictures of the tape referred to on this page of the touch pad issues guide.

    http://www.asusparts.eu/ should be able to supply you with a new touchpad should you wish to replace it.
