I'm not sure if this is true for all G-Series notebooks, but my G53JW did not come with a recovery DVD. I assume one would normally recover from the recovery partition, but this was overwritten for another operating system.

So, how can I reinstall/restore my Windows 7 without the recovery partition? I've tried the AI Recovery Burner, but that seems to rely on the recovery partition, and gives me an error. I've also looked on the ASUS website with no luck. Am I missing something?

You can do a clean install and install the drivers one by one, if you no longer have the recovery partition, that's pretty much the only thing you can do.

And this is the best way to ensure a well-optimized and unbloated system. Most people do a clean install and delete the recovery partition anyway when they get the laptop.
