Hey everyone, I have a really dumb question to ask. I need to restore my laptop back to factory settings. I know I can access the recovery option on the recovery partition by hitting F9 at the splash screen. My question is will this recovery process revert my computer back to the state it was after unboxing it and powering it on? As in picking language, timezone etc. Reason I'm asking is because I plan on returning it to the store to exchange for another.

When I opened it I noticed the seal was broken and it didn't have any of the "new laptop" packaging like screen cover that you have pill off etc. which means this laptop was previously opened or used. I decided to wait till Monday to return it. So I told the rep on the phone that I bought it Friday but didn't open it till today so she said I could just bring it in and exchange it, but I actually installed a few games on it to test it out and I need it back to factory state so i can return it for the exchange. This is a local store

Yes, you can restore the drives to factory new, as if the unit was unpacked.
