Nice call on the clean install. I would recommend setting up the SSD as drive C and the other drive as D (I do not like the ASUS partitioning scheme).
Then when you install programs or games you can do a custom install to a directory such as d:\Program Files (x86)\Metro 2033 Demo
There are GREAT guides for the install in this forum if U need more in depth help.
Did U get that SSD for $80 ? GREAT deal! -
First off, you sure your 2nd HDD slot has a HDD caddy in it? I know most of them didn't, especially the BestBuy models. If you don't have that then get 1 or you'll have to make-do with only having 1 HDD. Google "G73 HDD caddy" it costs about ~$25.
If you want to use the recovery partition on the original HDD, then boot into that and simply select the SSD as the main HDD. Otherwise just install OS onto the SSD and make sure it's boot device #1 in the BIOS.
I had no problems managing all of my downloads + Games + Apps on a 60GB SSD, even without a 2nd HDD. I mean you can really only play 1 or 2 games at a time, so you just need to remember to uninstall everyone you've stopped playing/using. It's really not to hard. -
yeahhh well i gotta send in the cash rebate :\....haha but ive wanted the SSD for a while for the performance gain... im waiting for the damnn 3GB win7 file to download haha but yeah i guess ill have win7, all my drivers and BF2 & blackops...oh and fallout vegas

To help conserve space, once the SSD and HDD are setup, go to each of the subfolders under your user folder (e.g. My Documents, Downloads, My Music, etc.) and do the following:
Right Click the subfolder -> Properties -> Location -> In the path, change "C:" to "E:"
Note: My HDD shows up as E: since my DVD drive is D:, but yours may be different.
Once you change the drive, Windows will automatically move your files for you. Then, whenever you save stuff to one of the relocated folders, it will be saved on your HDD. -
Make sure you do all the SSD tweaks. Disable hibernate, move the pagefile, etc.
