    Hi Guys,
Is it possible to simply remove a hard drive in order to replace it with an SSD and use the SSD hd as my boot drive on this laptop?

Yes its possible, I'm currently running a SanDisk ultra 256 and have put the stock hdd in optical drive. Just backup the Asus partition to reinstall on the ssd (there is a tool for that can't remember the name), or u can do a fresh install

It's possible and so long as you don't physically damage the insides your warranty remains intact.
