I have an Asus G60VX-RBBX05 Laptop. You can find the specs for it here
I've already replaced the 320GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with a 500GB 7200RPM, since the original one that came with it died on me. I'm not familiar with SSD Hard Drives though. I was wondering if any of you could suggest a good SSD that would cost between $100-$150. It doesn't have to be anything huge, even a 120GB would do. I just wanted one to put all my games on it.
I've even replaced the processor from the Intel Core 2 Duo P7450(2.13GHz) to the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600(2.80GHz). It's a pretty easy laptop to upgrade, so I would be able to do it myself, I'm just not all that savy when it comes to SDDs. Any help would be appreciated.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DTPYT78/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I just got one of these for $149 there flash dealing these off and on Intel 530 240 GB
I think you can't go wrong with Intel or Samsung, With Samsung being the fastest the 840 Pro and the linked on both have 5 year warranties The Samsung 840 Evo are 3 year warranty. All three are very fast and reliable. the 240-256 GB seems to be the optimal size for Speed and Space and price.
There are lots of deal out there right now I can't advise on other brands I have only experience with Intel and Samsung. -

Can't go wrong with intel or samsung really. Look for a drive within your price range from one of those two.
The 240-256 drives do hold a nice speed advantage in small and large files over the 120-128 drives. -
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was wondering if there would be a huge difference in speed if I bought the 180GB instead of the 240GB one in the link you posted Clintlgm? The price isn't a huge difference, but it's still an extra 35$

Sometimes the difference is big and sometimes the difference is minor. -
One warning: The Intel 530 series SSD has an issue with some notebook BIOSs. My G73 is one of them. Intel has an SSD Bios fix in the works though, and it should be ready by the end of the year according to this thread: https://communities.intel.com/thread/44258
The issue causes the notebook to "lose" the SSD drive on Restarts. It's ok when you power up and power down though.Meaker likes this. -

At least you can usually trust intel to release a patch, i'll keep that issue in mind, cheers.
