I am thinking of getting an SSD to replace my HDD for my G51JX, is there any extra fittings required, or is it a straight forward swap.

Straight up swap as long as its a 2.5 ssd (there are 1.8 so avoid this).

Bought an OCZ Vertex2 120GB SSD and a caddy for my original HDD.
Without a doubt, the best upgrade I have ever done.
