    Hi Guys,

wonder what your opinion is to this issue. See the attached picture. The screen is colored, the picture is with a black background as you can ee its messed up. I did an RMA for this exact issue like a month and a half ago at local authorized service dealer and supposedly they said it is the display and they changed the panel.

Now without anything but regular use the issue showed up again which makes me think that its very unlikely to have the same exact thing again.

When I hold it only by the front two corners and put some pressure on my fingers it gets better or disappears.

Could this just be the lcd cable connection? if so where is it located?
    Loose graphics card ?

the panel? doubt it since supposedly it was chaged and the very sam issue before the repair(when moving it around it got better or regular color again)

What do you guys think? Do have an RMA but thought id post here since I cant send it off today anyways.

Thanks and sorry if there are errors in here as I am typing on the messed up ASUS

If you connect your laptop to an external monitor or LCD TV, does it display the same issue? If not, it would indicate the problem is the laptop display, LVDS cable, or its connection to the motherboard.

The fact that pressing on or manipulating the laptop changes the behavior indicates a hardware, rather than a software problem.

If ASUS truly did replace the display, it would indicate the problem lies elsewhere, possibly involving the connection of the video card to the motherboard, but it does not eliminate a faulty connection of the LVDS cable to the motherboard. The video card isn't located at the front of the machine, but lifting the laptop by the front corners may be torquing the housing to put pressure (or remove pressure) from elsewhere.

BTOtech.com | G53Jw & G53Sw Disassembly Take Apart G53 g53j service manual - YouTube is a disassembly guide video for the G53SX. I believe removal of the LVDS cable from the motherboard takes place at 7:30.

I recommend sending a PM to Chastity on this forum, or PM Mason@ASUS on the ROG G Series Notebook Forum. Both of them work for ASUS and hopefully can assist you with your 2nd RMA to resolve this issue.
