My screen is not turning on when I boot up my Windows, it stays "pure black". The LED's indicates that the HDD, power and the battery are properly working.

I've tried to hook up an external monitor...and it still with no image.

My laptop is an old Asus G51Vx-RX05, and I never had a similar problem.

    What could it be?

    PS: My gear...

    Asus G51VX-RX05 (since 2009)
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Thanks for the help.

No, I can't see the splash screen. :/ I've made the "hard reset" and it worket....BUT after a simple restart the problem has returned and even more serious. Now, nothing happens when I hit the power button.

The CD/DVD drive starts but none the HDD or the fan turns on, and sometimes the laptop restarts by itself or, when it's off, it takes a long time to "boot" again.

I dont know what more I can do. I already reassembled all the components, did several hard resets and nothing happens, it looks that it's getting worse. I'm losing the hope, I think this laptop wants a retirement. lol.
