hello, first time to post. Just wanted to ask how do I know which LCD my G73 has?

I bought mine over at Best Buy (the $1,200 version) and after browsing the asus forum, I realized there were different LCD versions like AUO, LG and Hannstar (with Hannstar and AUO being the best and worst, respectively). Anyway how can I identify which LCD I have? I don't have the box anymore, I only have the laptop itself. There are no stickers on my laptop only the core i7, windows 7, ATI and EAX sticker badge to the left of the touchpad. To the right, there are no stickers present. HALP!

I did it by right clicking on the desktop and picking screen resolution.

Next to display it should tell you the model.

    Quoted from panzer06

"Simple quick way is to right click on Computer, select Properties and select Device Manager.Once in Device Mgr look under Monitors, Generic PnP Monitor, Details, Hardware Ids: Mine says LGD01DD"

PS: I think that what you call badges are in fact the stickers

ARGHHH!!! I have the AUO LCD :( haha! oh well, it seems that ignorance is bliss.. i should never have found out. But hey, I don't really notice how ugly my lcd is and i'm content with my G73. My only complain about my AUO lcd is the bad viewing angles, but when looking straight at it, I find it okay :D I'm just a bit disappointed I got the worst one, since I could've gotten the LG one if knew better.
