    Good morning all,

The G73JH-X3 that I bought came with the two 320GB Seagate Momentus 7200.4. After a lot of reading on these forums and elsewhere I decided that the additional storage I needed was going to come from the Momentus XT's. So I bought two of them.

I like the additional performance boost for commonly accessed applications since I basically do the same thing over and over on this machine. The added storage is also pretty nice, the two 320GB drives were just not enough I found.

What is everyone else running out there for HDD's? I know a lot of you do the SSD for OS and then a larger standard drive for everything else (wasn't quite in my budget) - but lets hear it!

Sounds good, that will be sweet as hell.

Maybe you'll actually break 5.9 in WEI!

That's a pretty high capacity drive you've got there! What's the model?

I used to have the Seagate Mometus XT hybrids in muine (2 X 500GB) only to find that they were causing me problems with Audio stutter and video stall. Reverted back to factory Seagate 500GB drives and machine runs great (again).

I have an xt and the 5400.6 that it came with.

I cant see the point of an xt for the data drive.

btw I started out with the xt in the gpu bay and then I noticed the temperatures of gpu cpu and hd rising.

So I put it in the seperate bay and temperatures went way down.
    the 5400.6 runs much cooler.

I assume you guys do the same?
