I registered my laptop when I got it, so I have the 2 year warranty. I would like to use that as a selling point. Does the warranty transfer to another owner? What would I have to provide the buyer with?

    Thanks.

I bought my G73 used and it was brooken to boot! Before buying it I wrote down the serial # called Asus and arranged a RMA. All they cares about was the Manufacture date. I was able to ship in the laptop and have it repaired w/o issues. My guess is they are no hassles as long as you are within 1 or 2 years of the MFR date. Since your warranty is based of the date of sale, my guess is after 2 years (from MFR) you would need the receipt to prove you are the owner and still haven't exceeded two years.

I would offer the buyer your receipt as a proof of purchase. Also point out that he wont need the receipt at all until 2 years after MFR.

If you registered on vip.asus.com, contact ASUS support and ask them to remove the serial # from your account. Then the new owner can re-register and they will have the remainder of the warranty. The accidental warranty is non-transferable. I'm not sure about the battery warranty.
