    Setting up Raid 0 on G53J

    just installed 2 x 500 gb hybrid ssd drives into my laptop, but now im flicking through the bios and I cant find a way to get it to set up in raid, any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

    it never had a raid controller

    Nope as mentioned it has no RAID controller. Most people just do the next best thing which is to chuck in an SSD as your primary and use the secondary mechanical drive as storage. Works well for me! :)

    Nick are you going for max performance - Raid 0 or Redundancy - raid 1
    ? If max per. is the goal Dallers is spot on invest in an SSD.
    For redundancy - do regular images to an external hard drive.

    Upgrade to a SSD. It will perform better than a 2-drive RAID. On my desktop, I have a 3-drive RAID-0, and the 120GB Vertex 1 performs just as well.
