You get better specs and a lower price from somewhere else. But the BB version is fine.

The Buy.com one comes with FHD screen right? It doesn't say, but I remeber XR1 being FHD?

I guess I wasn't very clear. The BST7 is a great computer, I have the almost identical RBBX05 and I love it. HOWEVER when you compare the $1200+tax BST7 to the $1250+no tax G73JW at buy.com, the JW is the clear winner, it is cheaper (after adding tax to the best buy one) and has better hardware.

If you really want to save you can get a refurbished RBBX05 like mine for around $900. It only has a 90 day warranty but so far everyone here who has one is happy with it.

Therefore if it was my money and my decision I would buy the JW at the buy.com link above, or the refurbished bestbuy. The new BST7 is slightly over priced in my opinion after you add tax. If you don't have a bestbuy in your state and don't have to pay tax I'd still get the JW because for $50 more you get a 1080p screen and a slightly cooler running GPU and USB3.0.

    Just my humble opinion.

I agree with Valkerie, You are likely going to spend more with less specs on bestbuy considering the taxes. On buy.com, you will get the g73jw which is more updated than the jh on bestbuy.

Get the real retail version of it like the one from Buy.com with the G73JW or get the G53JW at newegg for $1200. Both comes with FULLHD screen/USB3.0 and full 2 yr warranty/1yr accidental

Avoid the Bestbuy model because it is a watered down version without the FullHD screen,no bluetooth, stuck with bestbuy warranty, no usb 3.0 etc..

But if you can grab a best buy version of the G73JH-BST7 for $800-900 used then grab that

The JW vs JH isn't really a question here - the g73 - JW still has missed keystroke problems, but the g53 doesn't, apparently.

Anyways, they're both awesome, and the hardware difference is small.

Yeah that JW on buy.com is a good deal. My BST7 came to $1320 after taxes but I had $1350 in best buy credit from a dead gateway 6860fx they replaced. With the JW you would be getting the full hd screen, usb 3.0 and a better web cam.

I chose to buy the BB version because of their amazing warranty ;]
If you chose their warranty, within a year (IF YOU BOUGHT THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY) if your computer fails 4 times or if the computer is completely dead they will give you full credit of the model you paid for .

When it comes down to it...I think it's either you like ATI or NVIDIA...that pretty much the main reason between the 2.....this is a gaming laptop after all... :)

Yup I haven't bought a new laptop since 2007. I have just been taking advantage of best buys warranty :).
