    I have an ASUS G51vx- Rx05, and they are notorious for getting hot. I saw a video on youtube where a guy snips the blue wire on the fan, and causes it to full speed, all the time. I am thinking about doing it.

    Should I?

    Wrong thread aside I think that's a bit drastic. There are some software programs available to control your system's fans which may or may not work with your system.
