The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Shouldn't the G73 have its own subforum?

I know Asus doesn't have the market share of dell, which has 10 of it's own subforums on NBR. I mean Alienware has its own Forum, all the individual model Alienwares have their own forum, and then there are all the Dell general, and Dell specific forums. I think there are easily enough threads in the Asus forum which is overflowing with G73 threads, to break them out into their own subforum. C'mon, NBR, wake up and smell the coffee! :D

I would agree, especially when 90% of the posts are about the G73.
Then again there is a G73 owners lounge ;)

The separate section could be something like the "ASUS G Series" subforum or something... since Dell is kinda split up into series.

And maybe one for the U/UL ones too.

I agree there should be a subforum. It will be better for us G73 owners and better for those who don't own it as well :)

I do get tired of wading through so many threads in the general forum. A subforum would clean up the general area for others too.

I agree it's a good idea to split it up into series. :D

I agree with this idea also. Not just for G73 but the idea of subforums for different models or maybe different sizes 15" 17" eepc, netbooks etc.

Subforums are good idea but it's a hell of a work for mods to set up and move topics.
Maybe it can be done for future models.

I was a forum administrator on a different site, it's not that difficult. Depending on the type of forum, it's as simple as just moving the thread, and there's not that many stickies that need to be moved.

Just fyi, your bookmarks will still work, even on threads that have been moved! :D I checked some of my own bookmarks, and even the ones that have been moved to the new forum still work!

    Great job NBR!

This was quicker than expected haha... posted this in the suggestion forum last night and bam, new subforum :D

I'm making a post that should help reduce the thread movement further too, the ever popular "what do i do to setup my new g73 halp" thread.
