If you're on battery and you use the G73, when the battery reaches I'd say 40-50% the performance on the G73 takes a nosedive. Like everything would suddenly become drastically slower and not as slick. Is there any way to make it so it doesn't do that, it's quite annoying. I found that plugging it in and restarting fixes it but an inconvenience nonetheless.

Its programmed in the BIOS, the i7 multiplier is lowered in order to save battery.

I would think running in High Performance would avoid that.

Try P4G and set minimum state to 100% and maximum state to 100% as well. Check your laptop performs in this setting. Also, use HWiNFO32 to see in real time the state of your processor. The bar should be (in 100%) in yellow all the time.

I updated to BIOS 211 last night and it seems to have fixed the issue. I let my battery drain on both P4G High Performance and the regular High Performance and there seems to be no more slowdown.

Everything seems to be fine in HWiNFO32 but I wouldn't know what to look for *shrug*. I'll let it play out and see if there's any problems over the next week. -
You experienced a known issue that was fixed in BIOS 209 (I think thats the version). Basically, your i7 CPU was downclocking to extend your battery, but then it wouldnt allow itself to upclock again as needed. I hit this myself a few times before the BIOS update was out. This should not be an issue for you again
So why does the G73...
