    Hi!
My problem is that during movie playback or gaming there are some parts in the media that look like if it had low color bit...I don't really know how to describe it, so I show a picture instead:

Only I see those ugly lines left side to the tower?

In Dead Space 2 the walls looked so horrible like this (like if it had 2 bit color) and in Crysis 2 there was a part where the lighting around the light source looked like if Crytek painted it there with Paint.

What could be the problem? I tried several Catalyst drivers and several Windows 7 reinstalls too.

i guess it is the movie itself or the game itself ? try restoring the settings for nvidia control panel to its default and other things to its default, also trying using splendid application that came with the notebook and see if that helps.

I didn't change anything in CCC and same issue with Splendid.

    I don't think it's a movie or game issue.

Check color depth... sounds like it kinda.

You can also rule out screent.. Connect an external monitor. If problem is not showing on external monitor it's most likely with built in LCD, or cable is failing or not seated right.

Found the word for the problem: " Colour banding".

Monitor is set on True color (32-bit).

Does all G73JH Hannstar HSD173PUW1 (1920x1080) have this issue? Is it warranty covered or all the mentioned panels have this so it's "standard"?

    Dunno. Mine is 1600x900.

Doesn't matter... plug another screen up. Is same issue happening or not happening?
