    Solution to bad bios flash on G50vt, and possibly other models

    I recently found the way to recover from a bad bios flash.

    1) download the bios file from asus
    2) burn/copy to a usb drive/dvd
    3) press power button and hold F12 key

    the system should now try to access the usb drive or dvd. Let it update for a few minutes, then restart your pc.

    Did you have to rename the BIOS image?

    I wonder if this works for newer uefi APTIO BIOSes...

    Well apparently the reps at asus support are liars. I crashed my own bios on purpose to test this and now I'm screwed. Mods please delete this thread
