I have a 1-year old Asus G51Vx-A1 laptop and I have a problem with the keyboard. Some of the time some letters just stop functioning. It started off with p, backspace and 4 (not on numpad) but now keys 1-4, 8,9 (not on numpad) and 4 from the numpad also don´t work.
At first I thought that some wires connected to those letters must have been damaged somehow or that the 95C temperature of gpu while gaming has somehow fried the keyboard, but the other letters work perfectly. And on some occasions so do the letters mentioned above. I haven´t figured out what makes them work, but at first turning off the keyboard backlight made them function better.
The laptop hasn´t been dropped or damaged in any way and I´ve never spilled anything on the keyboard.
Any ideas what might cause this other than just some keyboard wire problem?

Probably a keyboard failure - electronic wires will do that :).

Replacements are pretty inexpensive ($15 or so) and dead simple to replace yourself.
