This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The G73jh-A1, does it have an 5870 card or an 5870m? I'm using the 5870m drivers so I'm assuming its the mobile model + its a laptop.

    I'm asking cause I seem to see 5870 on a lot of sites and not the "M."

    It is a "M" all video cards for notebooks are. The "M" stands for Mobile. The ones without the "M" are for desktops.

    Quite different chips too, the 5870M is based off the same as the desktop 5770, a desktop 5870 core was never used in a mobile product.
