There's a speck of white on the screen of my G73. I don't think it's a dead pixel because those are black. This is just a little speck that's brighter and whiter than it's surroundings. Any idea what problem this might be and how to solve it?

Bright Dot! That's why you have a Zero Bright Dot guarantee (assuming you caught it within 30 days of purchase) :)

I called ASUS and they said it's not a bright dot based on my description. Do I have any other options?

Thanks for the replies. The service agent said my case doesn't warrant a bright dot. Can I stil get it fixed?

There's just this bright little speck in the top left of my G73's screen. It's not noticable during gaming but it is in white backgrounds, especially. What would you all do in my scenario? Should I just contact gentech, from which I bought mine?

I have one on the top-right, just below the task bar (I have my task bar on the top of the screen, cuz I'm cool. :p).

I brought it to Best Buy a few days ago, and he said that may not be covered and it would take 2-4 weeks blah blah blah. I just ignore it, since I'm almost positive Asus will bend me over a barrel on this one.

    Kaelang,

Do you think it'll be a problem in the future or should I adopt the same mindset and choose to ignore it?

If you don't mind your computer being in limbo for a few weeks, you can shoot for an RMA and hope they fix it. I just don't think it's worth the stress and the possibility that my computer gets screwed up in the process just isn't something I want. I need the computer now more than ever, since my college classes start tomorrow and I'll be using my computer for hours on end.

As far as being a problem, I don't notice it 90% of the time on my computer. I've learned to ignore it.
