    Sorry a very noob question, but how do i remove the bottom case of G53sx

    i just got it, and i cant see any screws on the case, because i want to install the SSD,

    so how do i actually open the bottom case? because i can see the removable cover, but i tried like hell to slide it open, and it wont

    i found a video from XoticPC installing 2nd HDD

    If you are upgrading the ram or HDD, then once you remove the keyboard, you do NOT need to take all the screws out as shown in that video. There are two of them, the tiny one locking the palm rest sliding lock and the larger one right above it. The video shows the person removing about 10 screws in total from the keyboard area, which is unnecessary unless you do a complete teardown.

    Once the palm rest is removed, most of the screws under it do need to be taken out.

    yep, thanks, later that day i found a video from XoticPC tutorial, followed them with no prob, SSD installed now :D
