Hi.
I remember that old keyboards you could just drag out the keys and place em back, but with the force ive tried i dont dare do it any harder without asking someone if its still a possible way to do it.
Any other useful tips would be nice as well.
its the keys *-+9865 in the num pad section that are affected, they're just sticky so not the end of the world, but it's quite annoying when paying bills etc.

My recommendation would be to buy another keyboard from asus, and replace it. no downtime, and if you can clean your current one up, you then have a spare. Thats what I would do -
Isnt buying a new keyboard a bit drastic before even trying to clean em?
As i said, they're just a bit sticky, not defect -

The scissors on the keys and their tabs are very flimsy on the ASUS backlit keyboards - but you can rip them off from top down or bottom up, use a guitar pick or something. It takes a bit of force, more than I'd like, just do it in a defined motion and pull straight up. You will see the tabs that you need to align when putting it back. That's really all you have to worry about.

when my spacebar button started to squek i used that metod AlluGroceries described
yeah you need force and courage to do that
don't panic -
As for cleaning a sticky keyboard ... good luck. If you take all the keys off, clean then and reattach them ... AND you don't miss any residue, AND you don't ruin any of the backlighting, AND your keys are still secure (and you didn't break any tabs) ... then you'll be able to clean up the keyboard just fine, and never notice a difference.
Chances of that happening ... slim. -

You're not going to mess up the backlighting, the risk really is only breaking the tabs that hold the key on. It's going to be a challenge to clean, especially something as sticky as red bull. A new keyboard can be really expensive too, if you've got a non-US layout.

After you fix this, make sure you put and keep something heavy above your laptop all the time, a rock or something. Since it was redbull, it might randomly fly away.

Id still go with a new keyboard personally, but thats cause if I break it trying to clean it, I want a spare on hand for immediate replacement.... I really don't like my toys to be broken
