Here is a strange question. Was asked to fix a G73JH as there was no image on screen and i have seen my share of problems with this type of notebook. Ok GPU was good but mobo was dead. So i ordered a "Manufacturer refurbished" so the ebay seller says. ASUS laptop G73JH 60-NY8MB1200-B0D 69N0H3M12B0D motherboard Intel HM55 989 DDR3 | eBay Got the mobo and replaced it and now am getting bios message that the notebook is locked as it has detected a platform attack ....It has been incoded with Computrace Lojack.
Get the same message with and without HDD in.

So what next ? I have sent email to the seller but would also like to inform Computrace. Any idea on how to get the ID as there is no information about the ID ...it is just asking of a password or server token. Do not want to get in trouble because of some seller that deals with stolen goods on ebay.

The ID is shown when i connect it to the network ?

Well i returned the mobo as i was not able to get any ID or tag nor was ai able to get any information as from were it might have been stolen. The ebay seller is accepting the return but just a heads up if you plan on getting a mobo from ebay seller " pc*one*world" it might not be what he is advertising.
