I recently just uninstalled then reinstalled my Creative/Realtek drivers and then updated them so Steam would run properly on my G73jh since Steam is an issue on the laptop because of the sound drivers.

Well now everything is running just fine... except have sound coming from both my laptop built in speakers AND my external speakers that are plugged into the headphone jack.

Ive tried and looked around to no avail... not many people seem to have this problem. Under playback devices I have Realtek HDMI output, Speakers, Speakers, and Digital Audio (S/PDIF).

Please let me know if you need any additional info! Thanks!

Edit: Also... pressing mute only mutes my external speakers, while sound continues to come out of my laptop! However, changing the sound volume changes both the external AND the internal speakers. Weird.

Edit #2: I unplugged my speakers from my headphones jack when I was trying something with music playing, and the music got much louder coming from the laptop. I realized that sound only comes out of the speaker on the bottom left of the laptop when my speakers are plugged in and when they're unplugged the sound comes out of all speakers in the laptop... I dont know what is going on with my laptop.

You shouldn't see two speakers playback devices. That means two drivers installed which is likely to cause problems.

    Ive got:

Creative Media Source 5 - not sure if that has anything to do with sound
Sound Blaster Audigy HD - also from Creative

and I know I have a Realtek driver on here somewhere.
