Dead pixel on screen. Best Buy exchange or Asus?
Ok, I've had the G75 since the 14th of last month, purchased from Best Buy. A couple days ago I noticed a spot on the screen, in the middle. I did the normal cleaning routine thinking it was just a piece of dust or something that was just normally on the screen over time.
Well, it can't be cleaned off and when you look at it from an angle you can see that it's beneath the outer part of the screen if you know what I mean. On a black screen, you can't see it, and on any other color, you can.
So, First, any way to confirm it's a pixel dead, something that can be removed because it's not a dead pixel, or do I take it back to best buy and get an exchange; or do I get with Asus for a replacement?

Hello F34R,
My name is Scott, and I am with the Asus Customer Loyalty team. As you are still within the 30 day return period for Best Buy, you should definitely go to Best Buy first. They will look at the unit, and if it qualifies, they will either replace or repair it for you. -
Cl-scott,
thanks for the reply. I just saw it today, but here's the deal...
I finally found my receipt yesterday, which happened to actually show the date was the 14th of June for the purchase. I was hoping it would be the 30 days, instead of 31 days, etc. I didn't even count lol.
Anyways, I went to Best Buy to see where I needed to go from there, etc. The CS rep was extremely helpful and polite. I explained what the problem was, and she literally just told me to go get what I wanted or I could receive a full refund. Soooo... I would have felt wrong for a refund since I loved the laptop. I went back to the computer section, acquired an employee to get me a new G75 (looked at several others just to be sure nothing new had been out lol) and he took it to the CS desk for me. She did the exchange pretty quickly, and I was about to walk out. She took my used lappy and put it under their station. I was reminded by one of my daughters to remove the Diablo III disc lol. I asked the lady if I could get the disc out. She brought me the laptop and allowed me a large area of space to do it. While ejecting the disc, I realized I forgot to transfer some important files I needed. So I asked her about at thumb drive or something I could use to transfer the files. She didn't have anything. A Geek Squad guy walked over, hooked the laptop to the internet, and said I could take whatever time I needed to get the files sent to email, uploaded, etc. I finished all that in about twenty minutes, packed it all up, thanked them for their help, and left.
Now I'm on a no-dead pixel laptop!! Thanks again for the reply and advice.
