    Go to Creative Audio Center. Click Speaker icon. Choose Bass. Enable Bass Boost. You can set the dB gain and the crossover threshold.

    CMS3D has nothing to do sub. CMS3D emulates a waving sound between right and left speaker. It's like SMS in WMP for obtain simulation of 3d. Sub-woofer is part of the equalizer which allow you to adjust the frequency and output levels for the specific 10-200Hz range. That's why is in a separate tab from the EQ itself.

    Mine is at level 7 with cut off at 71Hz. Why, simple. I listen metal rock and the best sound quality IMO is at 71. Also, I use Crystalizer and EQ on.

    (darn, cannot paste link in chrome for mac, so I will do it in raw format)

    In this awesome thread you will find a X-Fi suite.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...ative-x-fi-mb-your-g73-realtek-hd-2-48-a.html

    The fourth button (the one with the diamond) is Crystalizer, which is basically a wave compressor algorithm which boost bass and highs in a way which improve the sound output. Activate it and you will hear the difference.

    @sean473
    please inform a little bit before to post. Crystalizer is a function already enable in X-Fi 1.0

    Hmm. Now, I have Realtek 2.48 with XFiMB 1.1 installed. Should I be concerned if I have none of the extra features you guys are talking about including the ability to change the db of my sub? I forgot to mention I have a G73JW..

    Okay, Well. I just followed the directions in this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...ative-x-fi-mb-your-g73-realtek-hd-2-48-a.html and I got the entire creative console working. However, I'm now getting a popping in my speaker when it initilizies the drivers. Every time the computer plays a sound after an idle (no sound or music playing) I get a pop from my speaker. Wonderful. Anyone have any ideas other than an RMA? =P

    It doesnt happens to me. You should do a complete clean realtek-creative install and see if the problem persists. Check my post in the page 8 of the same thread.
