just weanted to let you guys know that I was succesful on dissamebling the whole laptop and repasting. nothing broke. sound works perfect, and for some reason the touchpad works better, there wasnt much dust, and i applied ic diamond 7- my old temps were 55 degrees when idling now there 46-47...
gpu is about the same as last time- 53 idling- now is 51 but i havent let the icd7 cure for 24 hours, so the temps will hopefull change.
Just a heads up: this happened to me: after your done repasting and your turning the pc on without all the screws in and it put back 2gether- u NEED to have all sticks of ram in, and the optical drive, and both hard drives, or the screen will remain BLACK.

I used the newbs guide to repasting and the asus g73jh dissambely guide.
    ps: im only 14!

Gratz on your repaste many have tried and failed.

ICD will be set within minutes of heat being produced so it does not need to cure, your temps now will pretty much be the temps you will see from now on not including other factors like dust and ambient temperature.

load temps at 100 percent are for cpu:low 80's for all cores. using prime 95 for an hour
gpu running furmark for an hour: temps: low 80's-82 degrees. are these temps good?

Spot on for the JH. Dependant on Ambient Temperature but anything below 80oC under general load for the CPU and GPU is very good for the 5870M in the JH stress tests between 80-90oC show good results.

i have ordered myself Arctic Silver 5
i want to ask is it safe to start the laptop after repasting while opened so i can check temperatures and if i think i repasted wrong so i can repaste ...
and maybe someone can provide me what size should be the dot of the paste for the CPU and GPU would be nice :)

    thanks
