    Hello fellow G73 owners,

I'm looking at replacing my current DVD player with one that is Blu Ray capable. Any ideas? Recommendations? Don't? Do?

    Thank you in advance.

Any slim SATA Blu-ray player should work perfectly fine.

Seems that may be a BR burner as well.

Mine came from Asus with a LG CT21N Slim Blu-ray™ Super Multi Combo Drive. No problems so far.

Sony has some too and I've had good results on other machines with Sony ODDs.

Asus' bluray is cheaper than others, sounds fun :)

What's the difference between other BR player than PS3?
I chose PS3 because of playing bluray as well as playing games lol.

That's pretty much it, PS3 plays games too and gets it's network hacked, private info leaked etc...

Anyways, to OP. Find one that meets your needs, has a price that suits you and check if there are any bad reviews for it.
