    Hi everyone!
    I have an Asus G73JH. Actually, I very hate the dust or some dirt on the keyboard or other parts of the laptop. So I saw this accessory . As for me this thing is very good and necessary. I am interested to buy it. But the main problem is that the cooling of the notebook is going through the keyboard. I'm lost with this all :( PLEASE HELP!
    Should I buy it, or it will be bad for the work of the all computer, namely on the cooling. :(
    THANKS!

    Nevertheless, the air intake for Asus G73Jh is not from the keyboard area, right?

    Air intake is from below the monitor. It'll fit RYU/ken/whatever, they just have a generic picture. I've had those key-coverings before and I don't care for them personally ... but I understand why you'd want one, and it might be a good idea in your case.

    why not get this instead and clean your KB regularly..

    ThinkGeek :: Cyber Clean Electronics Cleaning Putty

    And please trust me when i say this the only intakes are at the bottom.. I've opened up my machine fully to replace the GPU thermal compound, it cannot suck in air from anywhere but bottom..
    Go through the disassembly guide and you will see yourself

    What actually comes to my concern is the dust which is stuck inside the mesh grill of the speakers. Hard to remove. Cyber Clean cleaning compound is not good enuf for that kind of task.

    Tho for $10 it isn't what I would call a major investment to try it and see how you like it.

    Yeah, that entire strip collects dust. I use a small brush to remove whatever gets stuck. I use the same brush to clean around the keyboard, trackpad and any lose dust that collects on the screen.

    Nice to hear someone else feels the same. I thought I was the only one getting annoyed by dust getting stuck in the speakers mesh. I use a small vacuum every now and then to collect whatever gets trapped there. :)

    The most apparent difference is the transparency degree of both types.

    TPU = more transparent
    Silicone = less transparent

    Besides that, silicone type keyboard protector collects more dust on it compared to the TPU one. :)

    TPU keyboard protector is more elastic compared to silicone one and it will not easily deform.

    Jeffrey1987, you are right. Today I received the package from Hong Kong, put the TPU cover in hot water(more than 80 degrees - this is written in a mini instructions, which comes with cover for keyboard). And what do you think? Right before my eyes, all the folds have disappeared - fu**ig MAGIC :D

    So, you think that I can be calm and should safely use protection for my keyboard without any worry?

    Maybe you can gauge your temp. before and after using the TPU keyboard protector? Idle & under load condition. :D

    Unfortunately, I'm going out of town for 3-4 days. :( I have no time for this at all. Jeffrey1987, If you have to wait only till tomorrow, maybe you can do this "test" with temperature, then post the reply in this topic? I will be very grateful to you.

    Jeffrey1987, thanks for the review, man ;) What about cooling with this thing? Is the laptop works worse or as usually?
