It's so bright holy . I literally get a headache after a few hours that sends me to bed, even on the lowest brightness settings. Is there any way I can turn down the brightness even further? I've downloaded dimmers (which are ok, but don't dim within all games) and adjusted the brightness settings in the gfx (which unfortunately darkens all the colors in an ugly way), but was hoping for a more elegant solution.

I think it should have a built in dimmer, with keyboard shortcuts, i.e. FN and F5 (that's the combo for the G73).
If not, you can change the brightness via Windows.

I've used the built in dimmer and it still is wicked bright to me. Where in Windows can I adjust the brightness?

You should see the battery icon in your notification area. Click it. Go to Adjust Screen Brightness.

I have no problem with the brightness, only the op does. I do turn it down in the dark however because in just darkness a white screen will blind you.

When I first got my G73 the screen looked very bright. For me the feeling went away after a couple of hours. Now when I look back to my old screen it looks very yellow and dim. It is odd that you are not getting used to it, maybe you are coming down with something or have 'Photophobia' :)

    Wear sunglasses? :)

You're the first one I have ever seen to complain about a screen being too bright. Usually people say the opposite.
