    A couple of days ago the Asus Store had the ROG G752vy-dh71 model listed as coming soon...for 1,999.00$
    Now it seems to have been removed with only the 2,599.00 and 3,499.00 models shown as coming soon....very disappointing.... The G752vy-dh71 was the best value for the gtx980m

    Ditto that Meeker, I'm really looking at the G752 JY but being a ROG guy I'll wait to see what the issues are. Hopefully they have at least fixed the left side USB 3.0 issue and sound issues. Also interested in the drive bay layouts. . My G75 is getting abit aged

    990M? Do you mean the 980 (desktop class)? It seems as if that's more aimed at the GX700.

    Yes, this 980m vs 980 desktop class for laptops is confusing me.

    So 752VY ($2.6k) has the 980M (same VGA as in 751JY) and the newer 980 desktop class will be only for the GX700?


    ...I am going to be afraid to look when the price for the GX700 will be announced

    The 980 desktop cards take a LOT more power so you can't just put it in an existing design without thinking. Asus won't wont to compromise thermals and noise on their G7xx line.

    Fair enough. Good and quiet cooling was what initially drove me to Asus ROG laptops. I'll be looking for a 752 soon.

    Yes a hot and noisy 752 would defeat the point but the gx700 should be under control nicely.

    How fast does the new G752 charge it's battery? hwinfo32 will show the charge rate.

    You may not need the water cooling dock for the GX700 to use the 990m (980 desktop?) GPU, might just not clock up as high. So on the go you might not need to take it with you.

    If someone wanted to get one of these machines by xmas even if it arrives on Dec 24th what would be the lastest date recommended to order one? Including any possible delays I realize delays depending on how long can really through things off.
