I just wanted to know if someone could clarify the use of this program. I've read on server posts that all is needed for this to work is to download it, unzip it, and run it once when u first boot up the computer.

The information provided in the download says that you need to make some changes in your power settings and advance setting for it to work.

So will just downloading it and turning the program on be enough or will i have top change the power settings too. Sorry for the dumb question but i am a complete computer novice and mostly just play World of Warcraft.

    Thanks alot!

I believe on the download page for ThrottleStop there is a user's guide.

Yup, no need to change power settings for it to stop the throttling, use link in sig to read more about it if you haven't already seen/read that post.
