    Hello Everyone!
I am a new member in this great forum centering all the notebook specialists the world has ever known of.
After extensive research and through budget considerations I have decided to take the Asus G73JH-BST7 from Best Buy. While doing my order, the sales person I was dealing with indicated that these highly popular gaming machines from Asus are near to extinction and probzably my one is the last one to be sold from them ever!
Yes,that means no more Asus G73JH-BST7 in Best Buy!!!
There stock is now depleted and that item has been replaced by a model named Asus G73SW-BST6 which comes nearly as the same specifications yes the difference is the GTX 460, 750 GB 7200 RPM HDD,and a Core i7 2630QM Processor, all priced at 1299 USD without shipping!
To bad to the old G73JH-BST7 lovers those who wanted to purchase that model, well that was priced so aggressively that anyone could fall in love with it!

I think you mean the BST7. I know they have 2 at my store here and I think the one across town has 1.

I got mine last week and it was like the last model they had. Glad I got it, too. Isn't the 5870 better than the nVidia 460?

Each has it's own advantage and disadvantages, i have the 5870, and i'm enjoying it! :D

I got mine 2nd week of march. :D
it didn't even take a day to have it fixed because of failed bios update.
my screen sometimes does this. my ac adapter went loose, tried to fix it and is now grounded (haven't tried plugging it in), keyboard lights doesn't turn on after they changed my mother board, aaaand those are the main problems i've encountered so far.

I love this laptop! but it just has too many problems to fix. :p

I got two defective G73s from Best Buy. One had a defective LCD with a blue streak and the other wouldn't see all of its RAM. Oh and then I got one from Newegg with the GPU instability. ;)

I opened the final one up in the Best Buy parking lot to make sure it superficially worked so I could return it immediately if it didn't. lol This was all back in March/April 2010 though.

Its really not supposed to do that. Try taking the LCD apart and re-seating the cables. And judging from your posts, you've got waaaay more issues than most of the JH owners. You've got every problem all the JH owners have combined.

Apart from flashing the vBios with a SD card and bricking. That was just daft lol.

I can use the laptop upside down, sideways, and in a bumpy car, so your LCD need a-fixing.

lol. I can honestly say that without NBR and the people in it, I'd bash this laptop to bits. :p Learned a lot reading stuff here and helped me deal with this crummy laptop.

Thank's to you guys, only 3 main problems remain! :D

    *lcd
    *keyboard lights
    *ac adapter

Yeah I guess im just super super super lucky. I got a BB model about 8 months ago and it never ever GSOD's.

I mean I could leave this thing on in furmark overnight and it would be fine in the morning. I updated the Vbios recently just to be safe but I havent had a single issue even when I didnt have that update.

    Guess im just lucky!
