SlushPuppie, ICD can be had for free according to this thread:

There is a recent discussion here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...rades/587618-ic-diamond-vs-arctic-silver.html
Bottom line ICD is more forgiving if you put too much on. IF both are applied correctly the temp differences will be minimal from what I have read. -

check my thread it will answer all your questions -
As5 is fine, Ive used it on several computers. The only problem with it is it takes awhile to "bake", something like 200 hours before it hits peak performance. Arctic silver ceramique(whatever its called) takes only 25 hours to bake, while some thermal pastes take no time at all. I believe ic diamond is one of them that needs no bake time or break in period.
@josea, thanks for the post on that. I think I'll try it. repped -
Ok this is weird. just the other day i was hittin 113C on the memory. now after 30min it tops at 100c flat. why 13 c drop? nothing has changed to my setup and im getting it on a 830/1100 oc. when i hit the 113c it was 800/1100 oc. hmmm i just dont get you ASUS!!!!

Was there a difference in the room temperature? In case you didn't know, those have a rather huge impact on internal temps (like 2-3C for ever increase/decrease of 1C in ambient temps). The game and settings you play at also have an impact of course.
