    Hi guys

Something weird is happening to my MX4, I used to use AC5 but I was getting max temp @ ~100C with standard clock gtx 260m for ASUS g51vx rx05 ( which came with a lower clock speed for gtx 260m), So I decided to change to MX4 since I don't really want to drill a hole through my laptop yet. ]

Anyways, ever since I started using MX4 the max temp for l4d2 reach 105 C with standard clock gtx 260m. Isn't MX4 supposed to be better than AC5? why is this happening?

    thanks

Don't drill holes and ditch both those TIMS and try ICDiamond.

It sometimes is not about the quality of the paste but the thickness and if your heatsink is not sitting correctly over the DIE and you are unable to change that ICD is extremely thick and a blob of it normally solves the problem.
