Ive had it this whole time...was initially supposed to remove it along with all the other bloatware that came with, but i mustve skimmed over it until now. Anyway, did you guys remove yours or is there some actual use to this program?

TBH, it seems just like a glorified 'Power Options' but i dont know...

I'm using it without any issues. Does what it is supposed to. I have uninstalled it several times and upgraded to current versions.

I've been using it on my G60JX since the day I got it, sure its a glorified power control but it also gives everything in one easy spot and is super easy to change with the button on the computer and even the space bar. Its also sorta nice to have the small overclock that it gives if I ever want to use it.

I don't think I've ever used it. I just use the default "High Performance" in Windows all the time.

I find it handy because it has an ATK hotkey... when I want to switch to power saving mode I can just hit Fn + Spacebar to cycle through the profiles.

I have actually seen 8-10c drop in processor temps simply by removing the P4G software. It does the exact same thing Windows power management does, only it takes up additional resources to do so. I've seen the exact same results on 2 different machines as well.

The temp drop is kind of an aside tho: minus the hotkey, do you really NEED a program to do something that's already 100% built into windows already? [from what I've seen, all it is is a front-end to modify the windows power management settings anyway--but I'll concede It didn't last more than 5 minutes on my machine, so maybe I'm missing something.

Removed P4G, iddle temps same as before, but...

Just fired up "The Hog" (MS Flightsim X) and the temps, both GPU and CPU under load, with High Performance Power Plan (Windows7) - were 8-10C lower!

    Why is this??

I did a test. I went from using windows default 'balanced' regularly to 'p4g high performance last night and left the laptop on, came back this morning, did nothing but web browsing for 30-40mins and noticed my CPU temps (all cores) were between 49-53 average..just browsing.

Usually this is 40-44 just browsing..hmmm....set it back to windows 'balanced' a few mins ago and now its ranging from 41-44.

...although GPU temp is unaffected..continues to range from 52-54 just browsing around.

Something really wrong with your P4G install then.

Nah, it just means that "high performance" windows has a bigger range of processor frequencies - the p4g "high performance" will have the cpu pegged at 100%, no downclocking.
