    Hello,

I have an ASUS G53SW with the processor mentioned in the title.

I feel like my situation is kind of weird for this reason...Throttle stop partially works...

What I mean by that is TS works fine in manipulating my multiplier--I can manually raise it and lower it and the FID responds fine to that. While playing GTA IV, my multi will stay at 26, but randomly, my FPS will drop, and sure enough my multi takes a dive to 8, then back up to 26.

Aside from this throttling, the program seems to be 'working' as demonstrated by the fact that if I manually click-click-click my multi down to 10, and I can visually watch the FID follow suit. This some response can then be observed when I raise my multi back to 26.

So then why do I still randomly get throttling? It's like ThrottleStop gives me full control of my multiplier--except for when my CPU..........throttles.

    And now i've gone cross-eyed.

    Problem Solved!

Turns out "BD PROCHOT" is a function used in ASUS laptops since the G51. It throttles the CPU in response to the GPU getting hot. It all makes sense now, because after I started using TS, my CPU wouldnt throttle for a couple minutes, which was the time it took for the GPU to get to ~78C.

So, I unchecked BD PROCHOT and BOOM! Now my CPU multiplier is independent of my GPU's temp, and since then, my multiplier hasn't budged!
