can you people explain to me how my cpu is running at 3.1ghz ? XXDDD
i didnt do any overclocking at all except running my cpu with the power 4 gear on high performance mode !![]()
and now i get 4 cores running at 3.1ghz ? how ? XDD

LOL Dallers seems to have his own fan base now
Anyways, you probably enabled TwinTurbo mode, either through P4G, the use of the Button, or in the BIOs.
It slightly OC's your CPU/RAM, however, it doesnt do it on "all" of the cores, what your seeing there in your screenshot is its idling clocks with each core being forced to the highest possible multiplier for the 740 in a sort of "ready to go" state. Run CINEbench 64 or Wprime on all four cores and youll see it go back down somewhere between 1.7-1.9ghz.
EDIT: yeap you have TT enabled, I can tell because the BCLK is in the 140's (which is how we overclock non-xm cpus) instead of the standard 133. -
yes Dallers, helped me alot more than you can imagine
i wish i can give him more reputation points
and i was happy for a second ..... so if i use setfsb i will get more performance than what i am having with the P4G high performance mode ?
if yes then should i uninstall P4G or just leave it ? -
Lol well I imagine by the time he comes in here and sees this, he'll shrug off anymore "talk" about SetFSB and point you straight towards an Xtreme edition CPU
Yes youll get more Performance using SetFSB OVER TwinTurbo mode, NOT P4G, P4G encompass TT mode yes but it does a lot of other things too (as I mean to say its an entirely different type program then SetFSB), I personally really like it, so I would recommend just keeping it, but turning TT mode off (in the bottom left corner of the P4G screen).
Then just get a copy of SetFSB, and see how far you can push your CPU/RAM -

Damn. I wish it happened to me.

There is far to much overclocking going on for minimal gain. Having a CPU running at double the speed at stock is the way to go.
Even if you can see 3.1ghz or 3.8ghz on a QM model that will only be for one core anything the multi tasks will drops the clocks down depending how many cores are active an XM does not. The QM models at stock are perfectly capable of doing the business and do not really need overclocking.
However overclock all you like but dont expect wonders because an extra couple of 100mhz on one core will not show the results of that on all 4 cores.
I try to argue and annoy as many people as I can so tone down the Dallers is a nice guys thing people!
I am satan with a hat made of kittens feathers and children's tears! -
Isn't he adorable?
To Dallers, Others are welcome :)
