Hey guys.. I know this may seem like a noob question but i'm just trying to eliminate a possible case. Every time I format and clean install it is for the same reasons:
1) at a point in time after I've installed a couple games, after i play and close there will be a lag with the explorer/aero, for example the window preview will take up to 3 seconds to appear after pointed on by the cursor.
2) I will get an (explorer has stopped working) when i try to copy and paste something or simply right click. This usually occurs after problem 1
3) After a couple if hours in a game all my usb ports will stop working and will only regain functionality after i restart..
I have about 10 games installed including BBC2. black ops, bulletstorm, borderlands, fallout 3 and new vegas, shift 2 unleashed and a couple more... this problem occurs every time i format and only after a couple of weeks so i wwant to know if the games I install will be a problem...

I do not think the games are the root of your problems, as I have 30-something games in my steam list installed right now, and those are pretty dynamic (i uninstalled and install games all the time). try giving cleaner a whirl, instead look to an application you always install when you reload, or possibly some driver updates. Additionally, I recommend installing a trusted anti-virus (I use MSE), and do all your windows updates.

i have trend micro, i use ccleaner all the time, and i do all updates... the lag only happens after games.. even steam games so i dont think its a specific program

something is acting up... what are your temps when this happens?

maybe you are installed cracked/illegal games with cracks that have viruses ? or not ?
if so i highly suggest you uninstall all the cracked games and install steam and buy games from there, steam make alot of awesome deals every midweek and weekend and alot of other awesome deals, and guess what ? it is 100% legit !

Yeah, it's either drivers, heat/hardware, or them sites (I generally give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to games being legit) giving you something nasty. Run a malwarebytes scan (free version works great) and remove any questionable software...

sounds like it might be something with the PS3 controller... have you thought about using an xbox controller instead? M$ has a supported driver for that, donno how Windows looks at the PS3 controller, but it may pretend its USB, and possibly be the root of your USB problems.

just thought of something else... your G53JW should have a separate driver for the USB 3.0 slots, so you could try updating that from Chastity's driver reference, and/or your intel chipset drivers (should have the USB 2.0 controller on that)...
Too much games/programs installed
