At present, until the beast arrives, I have a Macbook Pro. I love the touch pad in that you are able to scroll with two fingers and more importantly for me right click by placing 2 fingers on the pad a 1 on the mouse bar.

Can you configure the touch pad on the G73 to do this?

    Thanks In advance

I don't get it - why use a touchpad at all? It's not supposed to be a portable netbook. It's a desktop replacement designed for gaming. Wouldn't it be easier to get a quality mouse instead?

To answer your question - never tried it, but I doubt it would be possible. The touchpad on the G73 is rather stubborn in registering pressure anyway.

Yes, you can do this. You just need to install the latest Synaptics drivers. Two finger scrolling, etc are all configurable within the interface.

Clyde, might I suggest that if you don't have anything helpful to post, to refrain from doing so? It's got a touchpad that's meant to be used, and just because you won't be using it doesn't mean that everyone won't. It's a simple functionality question.

Anyone have keyboard lag while having Logitech's SetPoint installed for their mouse?

I have Logitech SetPoint installed along with the Unified Wireless stuff for the little wireless nub. I had keyboard lag before I bought that mouse, though.

aramis, where is the right click 2 finger tap in synap? I can't seem to find it (or middleclick 3 finger, I miss that).

Dunno that you'll find exactly this, but there are zones that you can turn to specific functions, and there's a 3-finger tap or flick to add options.
