Is there a way to turn off the flashing blue lights on this pc when it's asleep? I like to sleep it rather than hibernate it but the blue flashing light kinda annoys me when it's dark. Wasn't sure if there was an option for that or not? I used to hibernate everytime with my prior laptop but I hear that it fragments your drive and slows it down after a while, and that using sleep mode does not. Any truth in that or is it hog wash?

push the on/off button in the upper left of your speaker grill before you hit sleep, its doesnt turn off the Status Lights but at least it turns off the Main Bar under the screen

Click the left button (as said above) and it'll turn off the bar. I just tried it, and it worked.

Same complaint here. That bar doesn't remember the last setting either. It's on every time I boot. It has no purpose in life other than to annoy me if I put the computer to sleep and then try to put me to sleep. Blink... Blink... Blink... Blink... shove it under the bed and pass out.

You know, not in an earth shattering melodramatic way, but still it's a tiny bit annoying. Don't worry, I'm not thinking of taking a whole bottle of pills over it or anything.

That's all that frustration building up with every missed keystroke, Jody :D
And the bar does have a purpose. It's pretty. It picks up girls in class.
    ... True story.
