It seems that when I try to attach my attach my removable 2.0 hard drive the drives don't wont. There is a yellow box with an exclamation point in it in the device manager under USB2.0-CRW. I tried getting the drivers from the Western Digitals website, but all they offer is software that doesn't work with Windows 7. The computer is seeing the drive because it says I can eject it, but I'm not seeing it under my computer.
Thanks for any help!

OK USBs storage device (Harddrives and optical drives) do not require specific drivers. Windows (either 2000, XP, Vista, or 7) install them using it own built in drivers.
Some enclosures are sold with a USB cable that has one connection at one end and two connection at the other end. If this is the case, you might have to connect both of them to your laptop/PC. There is a possibility that your enclosure is not getting enough power from one USB port.
Also you should try the enclosure on another computer to ensure that it's not damaged or faulty. -

You can try reinstalling your intel platform drivers with the inf utility.

Seems like you are plugging into the USB3.0 slot and you do not have the drivers installed for USB3.0, which affects the usage of USB2.0 also. Try another USB slot.
