Just recently, and normaly when im either in a skype call, or afk , all of my usb ports will shut off compleatly , and wont return untill i reboot my system. There are no errors, and no hardware faults that windows reads. Was wondering if anyone has a solution for this, or is having the same issue. Any input is welcome :)

Also , on a side note, if it goes out, when im listening to music, it will give out a high pitch squeek (most likely just the last milisecond of audio playing in a loop)

Have you updated your audio drivers? Realtek 2.57 or 8? Or whatever it is. That could fix your squeak - a common problem, with a few different causes and solutions.

As for the USB shutoff, that's a power management feature in windows.

nope, i havent updated the audio. But it works fine, sorry if i wasn't clear in my description. IF im listening to music WHEN my usb stops working, that i get the high pitch noise. Im almost never using this computer without it being plugged in, and most of the time the usb fails when the computers in use .
im heading to power management to see whats up in there

Thanks for the speedy response too.

EDIT: Just turned selective suspend off for usb, we'll see in time if that makes any difference. thanks for the advice

    GOod work...

    that might solve the issues.

If it fails, you may want to Uninstall all USB drivers.
    Reboot and reinstall them...
