    USB mouse problems

    I have a G73jw and over the last few months, my mouse will just stop working. it's still getting power from the usb as the red light on it is still projected out the bottom, and unplugging it and replugging it in does nothing, even if i try to switch usb ports. and it doesnt work again until i restart. and its happening like 3 times a day now. its done it with 2 different mice, a generic hp optical mouse and the asus g73jw laser mouse it came with. any ideas on a fix?

    edit: when i got to restart it via the restart button or try to shut it down properly after. it crashes to blue screen and says something like "usb_bugcode" or something was the problem.

    Did you try uninstalling the mouse drivers and test the mouse with MS drivers?

    I just tried going to device manager, uninstalling "hid compliant mouse" then plugging it back in. hopefully this works, thanks chastity

    I use a USB hub and connect my mouse, printer and what-not to it. Twice a day the hub will lose power and i have to reboot. Possibly the same problem? Has happened since i got this thing new. Fresh install. Not a big problem but annoying.
