Recieving a new G73JW-XN1 in a week or so and am interested if there are any suggested housekeeping to do on this machine before use. I noticed the G73JW had a thread on what to do after unboxing. Thanks in advance for any input!!

Hey there, check out this guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/380681-asus-utility-bloatware-guide.html
You'll also want to burn your recovery DVDs and maybe update to the latest drivers and BIOS (if you need to) from ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- -
Thanks for the advice!!

For more stuff see the G73Jw index here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/537219-read-before-posting-common-problems-useful-threads.html#g73jw
The G73Jw is still pretty new so there aren't a ton of threads for it yet. -
Indeed making a recovery will be helpful encase your unit fails in some way which is highly unlikely IMO.
I own a G72 just of now i just bought one over the G73 for money reasons and voltage issues with the 5870.
I wish you a good luck with this machine i hope it comes as new and lasts you years friend.
