I'm from London and I just ordered my laptop, exact same model, from GenTech @ GenTech PC Store. They are fantastic to deal with, great at communicating with you, and their prices are brilliant.

Even once you add tax and stuff to get it to your door, it's still far cheaper than anything over here.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Hope that helps.

I paid only 200 more in DOLLARS with some upgraded parts. That means you are paying around £600 more for a basic stock version, without any frills.

Trust me, ordering from the US is the only logical option.

Totally agree. I am in UK and bought mine from Powernotebooks.com - They were excellent to deal with.. Im suprised to see the 3DE on Amazon as the standard JW has only just become available (in stock and not preorder) over here.

Still, I paid just over £1250 for mine from US and on Amazon its over £2100.. I know which I'd go for! :) Global Warranty 2yrs so no worries on that front either.

Yeah I see what you're saying but on top of that you'll have 20% VAT to pay plus brokerage fees so not far off an extra £300. Then you have the long wait and if anything is wrong with the laptop when it arrives you have to pay for expensive shipping back to the US. Ordering in the UK you also have a local point of contact who will deal with any issues. It all adds up and in the end I much prefer ordering from home.

I brought G53 form US(HIDEvolution) I choose FedEx express option which is around $200. Total cost is $1510+$200. Arrived within 3 days. Choose seller who understand customs charges.

    Order from GenTech.

Email [email protected] regarding your questions to do with shipping. He can answer everything.

It's the cheapest and most reliable method of getting one.

Having Amazon UK support isn't an issue, ad the warranty is global, and Ken is such a great guy, he basically gives every customer one-to-one support on any problems or queries they have.

Literally can't stress enough that if you want this laptop, this is the most hassle free way of doing it.

And yeah I guess shipping is (ofc) longer but what 4-5 days difference when you are saving a huge sum of money. You would be fool hardy to do anything else.

    Hope this helps.

Well the laptop arrived a couple of days ago and all I can say is wow!

Amazing machine and I love portable 3D. The Full HD 3D screen is amazing.

Can't go wrong with Amazon UK either.
