Hey I decided to join the NBR Folding @ Home team and was running both the cpu and gpu for the process

The widget showing how much of the cpu you are using shows all 8 cores @ 100% and the left fan of the laptop (the cpu side) is constantly kicking in speed and slowing down

Is this normal when the cpu is under heavy load? Cause its doing this every few seconds, its not consistent and the temperatures are rising. Im sitting at each core around 84-87

That behavior is completely normal if your CPU is hovering at the temperature where the fans rev up. What happens is that the fans reving up is enough to cool the CPU below the full speed threshold so it slows down, but then kicks in again after the temps go up a little bit and so on.

Theres no way to keep it at running high speed, I mean it cant be healthy for the fans to be going fast then slow and repeating that cycle?

There is a way to force the fans to 100% in the G73 using RW everything, but after that, it'll require a restart to bring the fans back to their normal profile. The same might be possible with the G53, but using RW everything has the potential to seriously mess things up if you don't know what you're doing.
