Hey all. I thought I covered all my bases by installing the latest bios and vbios but maybe not..
Edit: Forgot to mention this is a G73JH from BB.
Long story short I had a program interfering with my video (object dock). Thought it was my drivers so I uninstalled them. Turned out to just be object dock. Went to go install the new 11.11 drivers from AMD and got a BSOD - bccode 116 and atikmpag.sys as the cause of the error.
So the question is, anyone on 11.11? I have the stock drivers installed right now but they aren't compatible with BF3..which is a big deal. I've used driver sweeper and windows installer cleanup, as well as CCleaner to no avail. I've tried to update 11.5 and ended up with a bsod too.
Any tips would be much appreciated. Seriously confused on what to do.
Here's my HW info.

Sounds like you tried all the important things.
You are trying 11.11c for the drivers? You ran driver sweeper in Safe Mode and also deleted all AMD/ATI folders manually?
Another possible option is to check out Dox drivers. He just started making AMD drivers and that's a good thing because his nVidia drivers always kicked butt. Read about it here;

By stock drivers you mean the latest one Windows Update installs? Or the latest one from Asus for the G73JH?
The only time I ever got a BSOD while installing video drivers was when a 9800M GS was on its way out. Nothing I tried could get a driver to run that card. I hope that's not the case with yours. Good luck. -
The only driver pack i could use without the bsod was 11.10 then I updated my vbios from the rog site now I have 11.12 and all is good.
If you need the vbios it is here: G73Jh GSOD Vbios Update
Hope this helps

I'm assuming that you have flashed your vbios to the 93vbiosa version and your bios to 213 when you have said the "latest". Just this month, I flashed my bios from 211 to 213 and my vbios to the 93vbiosa so that I can make use of the latest GPU drivers.
What I did was I followed the guide on this one regarding the reliable way of uninstalling and installing ATI GPU drivers. In my case, instruction 7 up to instruction 11 didn't apply to me.
I didn't delete C:\Windows\System32\drivers\AtiHdmi.sys as it seems not related to the GPU drivers.
I wasn't able to delete the following from C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository as those folders where simply undeletable in my system as it won't allow me no matter what I do.
atihdaud.inf_amd64_neutral_64ab26e58f1cd70e
atiilhag.inf_amd64_neutral_0a660e899f5038a2
atiriol6.inf_amd64_neutral_bde34ad5722cca75
Then I did instructions 12 to 13 and observed my system for odd behavior. So far, no BSODs or anything and I can say that my vbios flash and GPU driver update was successful. Try the instructions on the guide on the link above and it might work on your G73.
By the way, the GPU driver that I have updated to is 11.11. -
yeah reflashing to the latest bios / vbios will solve your problem if you are not on them yet.
Updating graphics driver causes BSOD - please help
